This Privacy Notice explains how we at Honister House use any personal information we collect about you.
What information we collect about you
When you make a booking with us we collect the name(s) of the guest(s) who will be staying, and the home address, email address and telephone number of the person making the booking. We collect debit or credit card details to take the deposit. In addition, we keep information provided by you about any allergies, dietary or mobility needs which may be relevant to your stay. We also record whether you will require a car parking permit during your stay.
How we use the information we hold on you
Your home address may be used as part of card payment processing to validate the card and to send a confirmation or receipt by post if required.
Your email address is used to send you a booking confirmation and an email with details about car parking, directions and other information you may find useful for your stay. We may use your email address to contact you after your stay to ask for feedback or regarding matters related to your stay, for example to let you know about items left behind.
We will use your telephone number to contact you if we are unable to contact you by email or if the situation is urgent or an emergency.
How your data is stored
All of the personal and debit/credit card data you supply us, as part of the booking process, is stored securely on a third party system, using InnStyle. Any written information is securely stored in a locked area. Card data is never stored in written form. Neither we nor InnStyle will share your information with any third party unless there is a legal reason for doing so. Email addresses are stored on a password protected P.C. or mobile device only for use in contacting you regarding your booking with us.
We do not use your personal data for marketing purposes.
We are required by law to collect the following information on all our guests. We do this by asking you to provide this during the booking process or on arrival.
For commonwealth guests: Name and nationality
For non commonwealth guests: Name, nationality, passport number, address of next destination
We will keep this information safely stored in a locked area. We are required to keep this information for a year and show it to a police officer if they request it.

Requesting deletion of your personal data
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. Personal data attached to historical, fulfilled reservations can be deleted on request.
Personal data attached to current and future bookings is kept in our legitimate interests as without it we would not be able to fulfil our contractual obligations to you.
Cookies are text files placed on your computer to collect standard internet log information and visitor behaviour information. This information is used to track visitor use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity. You can set your browser not to accept cookies.
