Here are some questions that we get asked all the time.
Well, not ALL the time, but often enough that we would answer them here.
Do you accept children?
We don't accept children under the age of 10 unless it's a whole house booking.
Do you have parking?
Sadly not on site as our part of Keswick dates back to the 1730s and the streets are too narrow.
However, we are only 90 seconds' walk away from the town's main car park and one car parking permit per room is included in the room rate - saving you £12 a day. You can even use the permit in other car parks within the Allerdale area. Which is a bonus.
Do you accept dogs?
Sadly, no (nor any other pets). We'd love to because we love dogs but with such a small B&B we felt it wasn't going to be fair on other guests who might not share our love of dogs. The best known B&B in town for dog lovers is Larry's Lodge.
What is your cancellation policy?
You can find that and all our Terms & Conditions by clicking here.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, debit cards and major credit cards. Sorry, we don't accept cheques. There's no extra charge for credit or debit cards, but you will receive our deep appreciation for cash.
Do you accept cyclists?
We love cyclists. We have a secure shed in our back yard exclusively for cyclists to store their cycles, although it's only just big enough for two bikes, so book early.
We can, even though it hardly ever rains in the Lake District. We have drying facilities and we can also, if you really need it, provide a laundry service for an additional charge.
I'm a walker, can you cope with muddy boots and wet clothes?
Do you do any other meals apart from breakfast?
Er... only if a packed lunch counts as a meal. They cost £5 to £5.50, depending on what you want in it. Click here for an idea of what to expect.
Would you do lower rates for longer stays? Or how about room only rates?
For bookings of more than seven nights we give a 5% discount. We'd be happy to do a room only rate.
Give us a call to discuss this.
We are very comfortable with, and welcome, same sex couples. We previously lived in Amsterdam and Manchester!
Some B&B owners are uncomfortable with same sex couples. Are you?
